Well, it's that I was using multiMAN but its file manager doesn't read my NTFS partition (actually, multiMAN's file manager does but when accessing it it loads forever and mmCM's file manager doesn't even show it) and I've been using it (multiMAN) together with wireless (I don't have an ethernet cable) FTP (I've been using FileZilla Client) to transfer PKG and PS2 and PS3 ISOs from the PC to the PS3's HDD but it takes a lot of time and since installing a PKG or PS3 game data from an USB device takes a lot of time I've been transferring PKG and PS3 ISOs (and PS2 ones) from an USB device with ManaGunZ's file manager (it doesn't have multiMAN/mmCM's file manager problems) and then run them and the whole process seems to be faster (at least it transfers the PKG/PS2 and PS3 ISOs to the PS3's HDD faster than FileZilla) so maybe mounting a PKG directly from USB with IRISMAN without having transferred it to the PS3's HDD beforehand may be faster, or maybe not, since I guess the PKG install would still have the USB speed even though time would be spared since it wouldn't have to be transferred to the PS3's HDD beforehand, I guess. Of course i can only use those stuff offline.

I'm guessing that the limiting factor is the transfer speed between the hard drive via the USB cable, but you'd have that same issue copying the game over first, I would think, plus taking up hard drive space for the pkg file itself. not uncommon for it to take 20-30 minutes plus. I can say that the install of the pkg files from the external drive does take some time for larger games. I can't recall how the load times were when I had copied them on the internal hard drive first.
